2020年の最終取引日となる12月31日の米国株式市場で、ダウ工業株30種平均が前日比196ドル（0.65%）高の3万0606ドルと、過去最高値で取引を終えた。新型コロナウイルスの世界的な感染拡大に左右された1年となったが、米政府と米連邦準備理事会（FRB）による強力な財政金融政策を支えに株価は上昇した。もっとも個別銘柄の値動きをみると、コロナ禍で明暗はくっきりと分かれていた。
